The First Annual CX Bike Indy Was a Smashing Success--Thanks to You.

We over here at Sellwood Cycle Repair, Team S&M, and Bike Indy are so pleased with how the inaugural CX Bike Indy played out. From our hearts to the approximately 330 registrants and families who came out and trusted us, and the many people of Independence and beyond in the mid-valley who enjoyed the venue and event on the day: THANK YOU!

Included below is a gallery of images from consumate S&M-er Patrick Means. Please revisit and enjoy the day’s sensations with us here!

We’re already looking forward to the 2026 rendition, and of course aiming to build on what we accomplished this year. We welcome your thoughts and feedback. Lastly, community events take a LOT of collaboration and good-will to be successful. This CX race brought a host of visitors to the community of Independence in a way that we have heard was mutually beneficial. We owe the success of the weekend to our supporters, both long-term and event-specific:

To Bike Indy, The City of Independence, the Independence Hotel, Parallel 45 Brewing, West Side Taphouse, Otto’s Sausage Kitchen & Deli, Steeplejack Brewing Company, Starkwood Chiropractic, Castelli Cycling, Skratch Labs, Puff Coffee, Das Kaiser Studios, the Oregon Bike Racing Association, the Northwest Hub, the Ella Curran Foodbank, us at Team S&M CX, and of course—Sellwood Cycle Repair. Cheers to 2026.
